Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, has asked Ghanaians to use the “free water” very wisely.
This comes after the President directed the Ghana Water Company never to bill Ghanaians for services they rendered for the next three months.
This move, according to the President, is aimed at reducing the huge financial burdens on Ghanaians with this pandemic period.
This means the government will absorb all the bills for the next three months.
Addressing the issue at a press conference, Madam Cecilia Dapaah took the opportunity to advise the general public to desist from using the water anyhow just because there won’t be any bill.
In her submission, she said;
“…by God grace, it will soon rain so don’t use the water for your gardens, and don’t use much water in washing your car, if not we will soon ban washing of cars, let all use our head and use water wisely.”
